I've been to their branches at Puchong and Taman Equine. White is the main color of the shops, a clean and bright environment; with paintings of vegetables and fruits hanging on both sides of the walls, making the shops look fresh and appetizing!
It serves a wide variety of food, ranging from snacks, appetizer, set-lunch/dinner, main dishes, rice and noodles, soups, and 'dim sum' too. The food are priced reasonable, the drinks are a little pricey. So I usually order soup and not drinks.

Daidomon @ Great Eastern Mall
A friend showed me the Daidomon promotion e-flyer last Thursday. We spontaneously decided to go try it out today. We've tried Jogoya promotions for several times and we think their service is terribly lousy during promotion period, we were thinking whether it would be the same for Daidomon.

Amazingly, the food is nice and the service is even better! This was our first time having Japanese BBQ, we do not know what to order and the waitress kindly suggested and brought the food to be BBQ-ed to us in her most friendly smile. She explained to us how to use the stove/hot plate, and came to check on us (and other customers) from time to time whether we need anything else or any help. This is so different from other eat-all-you-can restaurants when having promotion where they usually are 'too busy' to refill or take your order.
Daidomon serves a full range of buffet main dishes, beverages and wine.

Got my main dish and salad from the buffet line.

Fried rice, fried noodle, stir-fried vegetables, Maki (a bit messy looking though), potato salad and deep fried vegetable pie

I love the japanese salad dressing.
It also provides a menu which we can order raw meat and vegetables for BBQ.

Too bad they didn't have the Yasai Tempura today.
After the BBQ, we had fresh fruits, fruit cocktail and ice-cream for dessert. And I have to say, all self-service ice cream gives me a hard time, regardless it's Walls or Häagen-Dazs, I always have aching fingers after scooping it.
Not worth paying 39.90++ for vegetables only? I enjoyed the food as well as the get-together and it was all worthed it.

Ichiban Boshi
I was previously surprised by the vegetarian sushi menu introduced by Kinsahi, then I found another japanese restaurant that provide quite a variety of vegetarian choices - Ichiban Boshi in Pavilion KL.

Besides the usual Egg Mayo, Inari, Cucumber/Radish Maki and corn Sushi, Ichiban Boshi has something more interesting.

Vegetables Roll (Maki).

Vegetables Handroll (Temaki).

Forgotten the name, something with Inari and pickled radish.

Cold beancurb.
The thing I like about them is that these are not vegetarian as in they are 'fake' seafood/meat, but they are all vegetables - fresh and colorful vegetables, to be eaten in a creative way.
Another plus point is, the price here is like Sushi King, with better customer service, environment and food.

Kinsahi Japanese Restaurant
I love to eat Japanese food even after I decided to become a vegetarian. Some might think there are not much choices for vegetarians in Japanese restaurants, but I just love the feeling after eating Japanese food (if I have to eat out), the non-greasy, fresh feeling.
Last night was the first time I've seen vegetarian menu in a Japanese restaurant.

The menu full of choices,

and each dish is marked whether it contains egg. Suitable for vegans.

Although there were all kind of fish, prawn, and crab choices in the menu, I prefer not to 'indulge' in those fake meat, so I ordered a vegetable claypot soup and a vegetable fried ramen. After taken my order, the waitress asked whether I'm a vegetarian, I said 'yes', and she told me while keeping the chopsticks and plates in front of me that they serve separate dining set for vegetarians. How professional they are... (Shoba you can dine safely here :p)

But what a pity, vegetarian menu is only available in their Plaza Pelangi, JB branch. Hope they expand their business and vegetarian menu to Selangor soon.

BBQ Chicken
A friend highly recommended this restaurant - the BBQ Chicken. It claims to be the Korea No. 1 chicken restaurant. Today we went to One Utama and had lunch there.
The restaurant is nothing like Korean style. Very Malaysian in fact.

The selling point of the BBQ chicken here is that it uses olive oil instead of normal cooking oil, which is much more healthy.

All set lunches are served with a free drink (carbonated drink) and a single scoop ice-cream.

It doesn't have vegetarian menu but there are something to order off the normal menu too, although limited choices. I had mushroom soup, green salad and mashed potato with herb sauce. The mashed potato was too bland but luckily the sauce was nice.

Deeparaya dinner @ Cyberview Lodge Resort
At first we (the social committee) wanted to book the venue at the pool side, but someone confirmed the booking earlier than us in the morning of the same day we confirmed our booking, so we ended up having the dinner at the Cindai ballroom.

Hotel staffs were preparing a wedding dinner at the pool side that evening.

Cindai ballroom.

Adeline, me & Shoba.
We arrived there very early before the dinner started, so went around to check out the food.

Cold dish.

Soup - we have changed the Salmon cream soup to Vegetarian Shark Fin soup, but they still serve the soup with bread and butter :|

Cakes.

Other pastries.

Kuih-muih.
And dinner started!

Ladies first.
We have few hot dishes customized/changed to vegetarian dish - Vegetarian Green Curry, Loh Hun Vegetables, Nasi Dhall, and Dauphinois Potato. All tasted very good. I love especially the Dauphinois Potato, it's like a vegetarian lasagna (or it became a replacement for chicken lasagna for me), lovely.

But I didn't like the Vegetarian Shark Fin soup, Maya Hotel did it better :p

The dinner ended rather early, before 9PM. We were first to come, but last to leave, and I ta-pau some food back for mum at home. Many of us packed some food back, but there were still a lot of food left over :( Next time shouldn't have buffet style, table dinners seem to have less left over food.

Vegetarian menu @ Ikea Restaurant & Café
I always take my lunch at Ikea if I'm shopping around there. Besides the free tea I get using my Ikea Friends Visa card, the restaurant serves 1 vegetarian menu everyday, rotating between Vegetarian Burger with fries and Vegetarian Fish Curry.

I don't like the burger, it doesn't taste like burger, but like some indian kuih. The fish curry is very nice, spicy, big portion, and the best part is, the vegetables in it wasn't over-boiled in the curry, it is softly boiled and the curry and fish is poured onto it when served, making the vege still tastes fresh and juicy.
Can more people feedback that we want more variety of vegetarian menu?

木直 Vegetarian Restaurant @ Taman Equine
The dishes for lunch today was terrible, some curry and some stir-fried-till-dead vegetables. Adeline, Shoba and I decided to eat out.
There's a newly opened (not too new, but less than a year) vegetarian restaurant near my house which Shoba hasn't tried before, finally got chance to bring her there after mentioning to her few months ago.
The shop is decorated in a very woody-feel, like the name suggested.

Dessert corner.

Organic food/products for sale.

Cantonese style fried noodle.

Kung Pow chicken with rice - all the rice dish is served with healthy brown rice.

Fried goose meat - was 1 of the promotion item (50% discount) that day.
The price of individual rice & noodle dishes range from RM6.90 - RM8.90, which is quite reasonable, considering the taste and quality of food is good. Ops, forgotten to pay Shoba for my share, must remember!
